Seventeen-year-old Katelynne Cox faced bullying growing up, and decided to use music as an outlet to express herself and positive messages. She felt like music was the thing she was born to do, and has gone on to release two CDs. In an interview with Susie Magazine she says, “Singing is my passion. Every day, I go home and pick up the guitar and start singing. I enjoy writing songs, too…”

She encourages young people to pursue their own passions and dreams, and not just following what is popular or chase after fame. She says “I have a song called ‘Fifteen Minutes of Fame.’ Lots of people only sing because they want to be famous.” This is awesome advice – take the time to pursue your unique talents and you will be true to you.
