Shakari “TRAKGIRL” Boles, is a Virginia producer who started as a teen inspired by Missy Elliott and Pharell and now she’s producing music for so many artists today and making waves in the industry. She is part of the Pay Us Today movement to help educate other producers and artists about the importance of creatives being compensated for their work.

If you want to try out music production you can start exploring on computer software like FL Studio, Logic or Ableton. There are so many tutorials on Youtube that can help you get started to learn the programs and try your hand at different techniques of beat-making and producing songs. Listen to various styles of music throughout the years and focus on the background production to get inspired and find your own sound.
