Singer Katelynne Cox On Pursuing A Passion for Music

Above Katelynne Cox’s music video for her song “Me.”

Seventeen-year-old Katelynne Cox faced bullying growing up, and decided to use music as an outlet to express herself and positive messages. She felt like music was the thing she was born to do, and has gone on to release two CDs. In an interview with Susie Magazine she says, “Singing is my passion. Every day, I go home and pick up the guitar and start singing. I enjoy writing songs, too…”

She encourages young people to pursue their own passions and dreams, and not just following what is popular or chase after fame. She says “I have a song called ‘Fifteen Minutes of Fame.’ Lots of people only sing because they want to be famous.” This is awesome advice – take the time to pursue your unique talents and you will be true to you. Music Pick: Mistletoe/Love You Like A Love Song – Justin Bieber/Selena Gomez cover by Jasmine & Jamie Grace

Singers Jamie Grace and Jasmine Sagginario do a cool, creative cover of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber’s songs Love You Like A Love Song and Mistletoe. They created their own arrangement to relate to different listeners – I think it’s a fun a great way to kick off the Christmas Season!

Jamie Grace’s album One Song At a Time is out now, with a Christmas EP on the way (check out her site at http://jamiegrace.com or her Youtube Channel at www.youtube.com/jgracepro for more of her inspiring music), and Jasmine is getting ready to release a new single (keep up with her www.jasminesagginario.com and www.youtube.com/user/jasminemusicvip.)
